We don’t ship AI-generated content in our games.
We do use AI around the edges of our work. Image generation helps us explore concepts and put together reference boards. AI coding assistants help with the day-to-day of building the systems and software that support our games. Our audio and art software ships with machine-learning features like denoising and upscaling, which are part of our normal workflow.
All content in our games is created by hand. For 3D assets, Govind Kulria models, sculpts, unwraps, and textures everything. Engine integration and animation is done by Henry Heffernan. Sound effects are created exclusively from original field recordings and licensed libraries such as Splice. None of our music is AI generated, and we don’t use any synthesized voice performances. All writing and dialogue is written by a human. Store page art, capsule images, trailers, screenshots, and Steam Community items are all made by hand.
While generated content can help us explore and iterate rapidly, it never stands in for the work or vision itself. This page describes how we work as of the version date; if that ever changes, we’ll say so here under a new version number.
